Frequently Asked Questions
What should I expect in the first session?
In your first session, I will review the informed consent form with you to ensure you understand what therapy will entail and what the terms of the relationship and service will be. Next, I will give you space to discuss what brings you into treatment. Finally, I will do some symptom assessment to determine any relevant diagnoses.
Do you accept insurance?
I am an Out-Of-Network (OON) provider, meaning I am not impaneled on any insurances through Open Mind Psychological Services, PLLC. However, some insurances will provide full or partial reimbursement for services rendered by an OON provider, and in these cases I will happily provide an invoice to you to facilitate your getting reimbursed by insurance.
What does therapy cost?
Individual therapy sessions range between $210-$250 per 50-minute appointment. Please reach out to me directly to determine the cost of your therapy services.
How long will therapy take?
Therapy length tends to vary by the client and the severity or complexity of their presenting concerns. For minor depression or anxiety, therapy may only last 3-6 months. For more significant difficulties like PTSD, therapy could last a year or more. I will always provide a good faith estimate.
Do you offer a free initial consultation?
Yes, I will provide a free, initial 15-minute consultation. This call will entail me inquiring about your current difficulties, your goals for therapy, and your mental health history. Additionally, I will share about my approach to therapy and answer any questions you may have. If there is mutual agreement to move forward with services at the end of the call, we will either schedule you or put you on my waitlist.
